Garlic Cheddar Doggie Biscuits
I have been making doggie treats a lot lately and have been having a lot of fun with them. Most of the dog treat recipes are pretty simple and my little monsters are so excited to get them. They follow me around like crazy after they get one and Kona has stopped eating his food. He stares at me like “uh, don’t even think I’m eating that stuff when you have garlicky goodness you could be feeding me crazy lady”. As soon as I get home from work they sit in the kitchen right under the treat container and stare. If anyone could move something with their minds it would be my monsters. They are very determined little creatures. I hope your puppies enjoy these as much as mine have.
I got this recipe from MacPherson’s K-9 cookbook.
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/3 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup vegetable oil
In a small bowl, whisk together the water and eggs and set aside. Combine the flour, cheese, garlic and vegetable oil in the bowl of your mixer. With the paddle attachment mix everything together. The mixture should look like damp sand. Slowly pour in the egg and water mixture with the mixer on low. Continue to mix until everything is combined. Remove dough and knead for about 3 minutes. Using a roller pin roll the dough out so it is about 1/4″ thick. Using a small cookie cutter cut out the cookies and place onto a cookie sheet, put them in the oven at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes. This should make about 50 cookies depending on the size of your cutter.

I’m almost scared to make these for Leo. You know we’re not even aloud to say the word “cheese” in our house for fear he will go insane. The little sausage loves him some cheese!!!
I should bring him some! He would go nuts.
That little pig would have a panic attack he would be so excited. Taylor and Colin would have loved to do this with you for the dogs.
Project!!!! Will save it for the aunties to do when we visit :)
These are so cool! Lexi deserves them for sure.
